Position Description
As the Sewing Machine & Notion Buyer you will be responsible for overseeing all orders pertaining to this integral part of our business. Your role is to ensure appropriate inventory levels in all five retail stores are maintained and meet quarterly forecasts. All retail store managers will report to you on any inventory required. You will report directly to the general manager.

Requirements
You will be required to travel between stores and out of province/country at least twice a year on business, so a valid driver’s licence, passport and clean criminal records check is required.
Retail Store Details
The head office is located at 114 Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth, NS. The office hours are 8:30 – 5:00 Monday to Friday. The work week consists of five (5) 8.5 hour shift with a 30 minute unpaid break and two 15 minute paid breaks each day.
As a head office employee you will be expected to dress appropriately and professionally.
Salary
Your salary will be based on experience and technical expertise. Manager wages are based on a sliding scale using Nova Scotia Department of Labour Minimum Wage standards, so your hourly wage would increase each April accordingly. You will be eligible for wage increases upon satisfactory annual performance reviews. In addition, you will be eligible monthly, quarterly and annual bonuses upon achieving financial objectives set by the general manager.
